Why groups are different
A regular room price is mostly based on supply and demand. For groups additional factors play a role. Think of revenue from food and beverage, meeting rooms and other outlets. The higher the total revenue, the more attractive you want to make the offer with a suitable discount. You do not want to calculate this manually but automatically and in line with your own strategy. This is exactly what our tool makes possible.
Create your own strategy
Before you start, you first set up your own strategy. You decide which discount percentage belongs to a certain level of total revenue in the hotel. If the group stays multiple nights this percentage can be increased. This creates a clear strategy. The more revenue a group generates and the longer they stay, the higher the discount.
When a group request arrives you open the group module in RevControl. You add the group name the desired stay dates and an estimate of the total revenue they bring. With one click on get rate an overview with all relevant information appears.
You immediately see whether there is availability for the selected period. RevControl also shows the recommended price based on the current dynamic rate and the discount that matches your strategy. If there is no space in the requested period, the system also displays the displacement.
With this feature you always know which room price fits both your strategy and the market demand at that moment. You can also easily find all requested group prices in the group logs of RevControl, which keeps everything clear and accessible.
